Translate & Edit Hundreds of DWG Files at Once.
docuredo is a web app that automates the two most painful AutoCAD tasks: translating drawing annotations into any language, and bulk find & replacing text — across entire project folders without opening a single file.
- Runs on official Autodesk servers
- Encrypted transfer
- Files auto-deleted after processing
- No AutoCAD license required
Two Tools. Hundreds of Drawings.
Translate Multiple DWG Files
Send drawings to international clients in their language — without a single copy-paste. docuredo extracts every text string from your DWG files, translates them with a large language model that reads each string in the context of the drawing it came from, and writes the results back while preserving every layer, font, size, and position.
- Translate into the language your client works in
- Processes an entire project folder in one run
- Preserves text position, style, and layer assignment
- Review and edit every translation before it is written to file
- A line-by-line report of every string changed and every one skipped
Find & Replace Text
Update company names, revision marks, material specs, or any annotation text across hundreds of DWG files at once — without opening AutoCAD once.
- Searches text, mtext, attributes, dimension overrides, tables and leaders
- Case-sensitive and whole-word match options
- Reaches text nested inside block definitions
- Every replacement and every skip listed in an audit report
- Processed on Autodesk servers and deleted afterwards — your files never touch ours
Four Steps to Done.
No install, no AutoCAD license, no setup. Works from any browser.
Upload Your Files
Select a folder or drag in DWG files. They travel over an encrypted connection and are processed on official Autodesk servers — we never open or see them, and they are deleted from Autodesk's side after processing.
Configure the Operation
Choose Translate or Find & Replace. Set your target language or replacement terms. See the full scope and cost before anything runs.
Run in Bulk
docuredo processes your files in parallel — an entire set in one run, not an afternoon of opening files one at a time.
Download Results
Review the change log for every file. Download the edited DWGs individually or as a ZIP.
Built for Real Workflows.
Rebranding across a project set
A construction firm rebrands. Every drawing title block needs the old company name swapped for the new one. docuredo takes the whole set in one upload and hands back a report of every change it made.
Multi-language deliverables
Submitting structural drawings to a German client. Translate all annotation layers from English to German while keeping the drawing geometry and styles completely intact.
Revision text updates
Update 'Rev A' to 'Rev B' across an entire project set, or swap a superseded standard reference across hundreds of specification drawings simultaneously.

The fine print, plainly.
Do I need an AutoCAD license?
No. Processing runs on Autodesk's cloud service under our account. You only need a browser and your DWG files.
Will my drawings open correctly afterward?
Yes — files are edited by the genuine AutoCAD engine, not a converter or a reverse-engineered parser. What comes back is a normal DWG, same version behavior as saving from AutoCAD itself.
What happens to my files?
They upload directly from your browser to Autodesk cloud storage, are processed, and are permanently deleted within 48 hours. We never store drawings long-term and never use them for anything else.
What if a replacement can't be made safely?
It's skipped and listed in your audit report with its exact location, so you can fix those few by hand. We never guess inside complex MTEXT formatting.
Can it translate drawing text to another language?
Yes. Translate mode reads every piece of text out of your drawings, proposes a translation for each unique line, and shows you the whole list to check and edit. Nothing is written until you approve it. Because each drawing is opened twice — once to read, once to write — translate costs 3 credits per drawing instead of 1.
